So Many Flowers
Summer is here and that means flowers. So many flowers.
Throughout the spring we’ve been sowing seeds, transplanting seedlings, weeding, putting up supports, and weeding again. Now the fields are filling with color and they could hardly be prettier.
We are happy to introduce our first summer gathering, Flowers & Fika. Come join us at the farm for a sweet pea U-pick and lovely refreshments. We invite you to slow down, wander the property, harvest your own bouquet and then come relax under the pavilion with beverages and pastries. Read on for more details and to register.
Farm News: June
Hello farm fans. This is Phil with Farm Kitchen Events, and here’s what’s growing on outside this month:
Seemed like we were in for a hot one, but then June-uary swooped in with lower temps and a lot more rain! We took the opportunity at the end of May and early June to put many more vegetables in the ground, and they have responded happily to the wetter weather with rich green colors and baby fruit sets. For more on that, and updates on what else is happening in the Farm Kitchen fields, please read on…
Everything’s Coming Up Flowers
Brighten the day of someone you love. Say “Happy Mother’s Day!”, “Thank You”, “Happy Birthday!” or “Congratulations!” to someone who deserves recognition. Bring some nature into your space. Come out and join us in the fields. Flowers make a sweet gift and we want to make it simple for you. Buying local blooms grown with sustainable practices means less impact on the environment, supporting a local business, and knowing exactly where your pretty purchase comes from.
